The USB port is placed at the top of the device while at the bottom lie the speakers which have very good sound. Also at the top is the 3.5 mm earphone jack pin. It has a small LED light at the front that notifies the user in case there are any unread messages or missed calls. The keyboard is the normal onscreen board that is common to all Android gadgets. The volume button is at the right of the device under the power button.
Infinix Hot 2 Software
The Infinix Box 2 boasts of stock Android installed as the operating system. Android 5.1.1 lollipop is not the best of the Android operating systems it surely can be termed as an operating system for the entry level user. It does not have a music app, an application for the camera nor a gallery application though with the paly store in place these are available for download at no cost. The default application for photos is Google photos.
A general disadvantage of the stock Android is that there is no mute/vibrate switch and it is not possible to switch sound profiles at will. The advantage is that there are no ad popups as is common with other Android operating systems. It also does not contain apps that ae irrelevant to multitudes like Palmchat. Another advantage is that you can add as many accounts as possible so you can have a guest account to be used as a child lock security measure.
Camera Capability for Infinix smartphones
It has an 8 megapixel back camera and a 2 megapixel front camera. The picture quality is nothing to talk much about as it is basic and the clarity is no that sophisticated. It does not do much either in low light areas though as the saying goes the picture can actually be seen.
Battery Life
The battery life is also nothing to write home about. If you have your data on at all times it will sure let you down. These are also because the infinix Hot 2 is a dual SIM device and maximum usage drains a lot of the battery life. There is however some power saving mode apps in the market that work well with the stock Android operating system and this can go a long way in trying to save you some power out of the battery.
The infinix Hot 2 is an entry level phone into the Infinix smartphones world and is affordable. The features, advantages and disadvantages are worth the price. Being a low-cost phone, the distribution of the phone has proved a success as it has actually had a good market. It is recommended for light use and basic experience of the Android operating system.
